When I was about 7 I started having pains in my abdomen. The doctors did not know what the problem was but in any case the pains went away.
Sometime later when I was 8 the pains returned and my parents were given the idea to arrange to have my gallbladder removed.
In those days this was major surgery and when I woke up from the operation I decided on becoming a photographer.
I had been told I was the youngest person to have his gallbladder removed so I thought I must be very special! So I thought I must become the best at photography!
I was given a bicycle as a present when I arrived home.
To this day I have not lost my interest in photography and have traveled in over 45 countries and often with a bicycle!

Places I’ve been:
My first trips involved photography with 35 mm slides
Then I preferred black and white and now I prefer color.
I have bicycled two times through the Eastern Europe countries, as well as biked parts of Asia, Australia, New Zealand. India. My last major trip by bicycle involved biking the Highway from New Delhi, India, to just about 100 kilometers from the China border in Pakistan. This was about 25 years ago.
In last 10-20 years I have been mostly living in Bali and Thailand.
Besides “traveling” I am interested in the topic of health and healing.
